If there's one thing LJ needs desperately, its an ignore function. When you're in several communities related to the same thing, chances are you're not the only one in all those communities. God help you when someone decides to post the same thing in all of them. The eyesore that is x-posting can literally take up an entire day or two worth of valid posts that I want to read, and it's especially bad when the topic is, of all things, cosplay, the only part of the pokemon fandom I have little to no interest in whatsoever. Simply ignoring chronic x-posters so I do not have to scroll past walls of text would go a long way towards fixing this problem.

To go on record, I have no problem with a little cross-posting now and then, especially if it's only in 1 or 2 of the communities I'm in, or if it's a brief 1 or 2 line post asking a question or telling the maintainer that you changed your journal. You should also list the other communites you've posted it to. That's good form. There should not be a massive fucking picture in each post, or if there is, it needs to go behind a fucking lj-cut. I don't want to read the same paragraph 6 times. If your post(s) pisses me off, I'm not going to answer it or comment on it except maybe to say fuck off. In short, the only attention you'll get from anyone who is in all the communities with you is going to be negative. Just pick the largest, most populous community or the one most tailored to your post and leave it at that. kthxbai

/rant off.

In other news, my world of warcraft guild on Ursin downed Ragnaros, the Firelord for the first time today. It marks the transition of our guild from a casual raiding guild to a serious endgame guild. I'm stoked.

Turtles are so cool. With the new starter in D&P, there will be a turtle for each of the "starter" types, which means you can have a Blastoise, Torkoal, and Naetoru (the little green starter guy) on the same team.

In other news, I finally took some time away from WoW to clear Pokemon XD up to the last 2 bosses. I'm kinda stuck there since I want to get good natures for the Lugia and Legendary Birds, but it will take me forever to find out their natures without the instant purification from the time flute thing.

I don't understand why the general assumption about the pokemon games is that it takes soooo much time to get even one pokemon to the point that you can battle with it. I have three boxes of pokemon at level 50, EV trained with decent IVs and all the moves they should have. On average, it takes me less than an hour to fully EV train and level up a pokemon from lvl 5 to 50. If breeding is factored in (as it usually is) it may take an indeterminate amount of time owing to the iffy natures of getting the "big three" in terms of nature, ability, and IVs. The first two are a 50/50 chance, or the second one could be guaranteed. But in any case, it just doesn't take that long to build a team on emerald.

I've grown tired of this account name, being hastily selected because none of the names I wanted were available. I've purchased a rename token and will be changing my name today.

Ever since I've been playing World of Warcraft daily, I always fly and save in a pokemon center, believing I'll get boosted experience next time. I also caught myself refering to EV training as "grinding" and runnig around with a team of high level Linoone as "farming".
